Pyramid

We crossed the desert. There were some Arabic in the desert, I didn’t pay much attention to it. The alchemist was angry. He warned me to be aware of every omen in the desert. After a while, we were caught up by some soldiers.

The soldiers considered us as spies, even though the alchemist gave all my money to the general. They still decided to kill us. The alchemist begged for three days for me to show that I could turn myself into the wind. No one believed that, but they still agreed.

In the third day, I tried to talked to the desert, the wind, the sun, then I succeeded. The wind helped me destroy the tribe. The alchemist made some lead into gold and gave me one piece. He also gave the monk two pieces in case I lost my money again.

We said goodbye to each other, and I reached the Pyramid. Some figures came to me while I was digging into the dune. They forced me to dig for a whole day but I still could not find the treasure. They were angry and took off all my gold. The leader let me alive because he thought I was stupid, crossing the desert just for a dream. He laughed, ”Once I dreamed of treasure in an abandoned church in Spain, but I never thought it was true. I would never be stupid like you crossing the desert for a dream. ”

Now I know where the treasure is. All I need to do is back to the church.

Al-Fayoum

After travelling day and night, we finally arrived at the oasis. Everybody was very excited. The oasis was very huge, much larger than many towns in Spain. The views in my eyes were like A Thousand and One Nights , the silence in the desert seemed like a unreal dream. Everything was lively in the oasis.

The Englishman and I tried to find the alchemist, but no one knew who he was. So we tried another way, we asked the people who could cure their illness, and we got a name “Allah”. At last, a girl came by, I wanted to ask her the details about the alchemist, but I fell in love with her at the first sight. This was a wonderful time I had never had.

But I still needed to find my treasure. I talked to Fatima and she encouraged me to leave. Before I left, I saw an unlucky omen in the sky. I realized that it would have a war in the oasis. I told the soldiers about the omen, so that the people in the oasis were not killed by the tribe. The alchemist showed up, he made a talk to me and asked me to go with him.

Desert

I knew there was a caravan going to across the desert, so I went to the warehouse to see them. I met an Englishman there. He had been at the university for ten years, so he knew Esperanto, the world’s religions, and now he was trying to be an alchemist. At first he didn’t want to talk to me, but he changed his attitude after seeing Urim and Thummim. The warehouse boss told us that there was a caravan leaving for Al-Fayoum oasis, which is a part of Egypt. The Englishman also wanted to find the alchemist in Al-Fayoum, so we followed the caravan and left Tangier.

Almost two hundred people and four hundred animals gathered together, then our long journey started. The whole caravan was totally in silence in the desert, and I started to observe the animals and people, also the desert. There was one night the Englishman and I both were unable to sleep, so we went for a walk and he told me the story of the alchemist. The war between the tribes had already begun, we needed to be lucky enough to reach the oasis.

Tangier

I sat in a bar and looked at the narrow street in Tangier. People spoke Arabic here, so I could not understand at all. A boy who could speak Spanish talked to me and I told him that I would go to the Pyramids. I almost told him the story about my treasure, but I didn't want to give him another one-tenth of the treasure so I chose not to do so. I asked him if he was willing to be my guidance, but he needed me to prove if I had enough money. I thought it was weird but I took all my money to show him. Suddenly the bar owner came to me and spoke to me angrily, but I did not know Arabic. The boy told me the owner wanted my money and we better leave now. I trusted my friend and we left. My friend knew a lot and he asked me the money to buy camels. It made me remind of the King’s sayings,” When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.” So I gave him all my money. However, when we crossed a street later on, I saw a sword. I really wanted to buy it so I stopped. But my friend disappeared while I was staring at the sword. My money was gone.

I was so frustrated that I wanted to give up. Should I go back to Spain? I tried to grab one of the stones to help me make the decision, but there was a hole in my pouch so they both fell down. It made me remind the words of the King of Salem, this is an omen. I needed to follow my Personal  Legend, so I decided to go on.

I wandered around the streets and I saw a little crystal shop. I came in and asked the owner to offer me food if I would clean all the dirty glasses. Surprisingly, two people came in this little shop while I was cleaning. The merchant considered it as a good omen so he asked me to stay. I helped him expand the business and I earned enough money for working nearly one year. Now I decide to leave.

Tarifa

I dreamed about treasure for two times when I was with my sheep. A child in my dream told me about the Egyptian Pyramids, he also said that if I came there, I would find a hidden treasure. I was curious about that, and I knew there is a Gypsy woman who could interpret the dream, so I came to see her. Everything around her was so mysterious. She told me to find the treasure and asked for one-tenth of the treasure. We made a deal, but I wasn’t sure if I should go to the Pyramids.

After that, I met a old man who said he was the King of Salem. He talked to me when I was reading my book. At first I didn’t believe him but later on I found that he knew what I was thinking! We had a long talk and he persuaded me to go. He told me the story about the baker and I realized that I need to find my Personal Legend. Finally I decided to go. I gave him my 6 sheep and he gave me two stones in return. He asked me to trust the omens and make the decisions by myself. He also told me a story about a boy who wanted to know the secret of happiness. Then I left.

Andalusia

The dusk was falling when I arrived in Andalusia. I was really tired, and I needed to find a place to spend the night with my sheep, so I found an abandoned church. I talk to my sheep all the time, but the most frequently thing I talk about is a girl lives in Andalusia. She has been in my mind since I met her.

One year ago, I arrived at a village in Andalusia. My money ran out so I needed to sell some wool. I went to the shop, but it was busy and the merchant asked me to wait until the afternoon. I heard a voice when I was reading a book. It was from a typical Andalusian girl. She was the merchant’s daughter and lived a boring life in the village where each every day was the same. She was very curious about the way I read the book. We chatted for a long time, and I suddenly had a wish that I could see her everyday.

But her father showed up at last, I got the money and I left.
